At 5, I actually walked to and back from kindy most of the days all by myself. The journey was not too far and did not involve crossing any street, but I actually had to walk though an alley.

I sure won't let any of my kids go anywhere on their own these days, especially with all the child abduction cases on the rise.

You know what's funny about "new"? Last year there was this person in my church who chose to sing a certain song. He is about 40+. The Pianist is in her late teen. She asked if it was a new song. Actually it was a song I sang in chapel class in my early teen. Still it was "new". *grin*Moomykinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02645551241688174119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8868408811034508455.post-11170555194730734582008-01-26T03:40:00.000+08:002008-01-26T03:40:00.000+08:00I used to be able to cycle around my neighbourhood...I used to be able to cycle around my neighbourhood without worry about traffic or abductions.

Ask any youngling today what they think about all this new technologies, they are likely to say "what 'new' technologies??" It's all they know!

Years from now, though, they are likely to blog about this same topic too; probably about how their parents enjoyed more stable weather, lower sea levels, and ignorant about life in outer space!

JLowJLowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00644532623648923417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8868408811034508455.post-16662450150579348372008-01-25T16:57:00.000+08:002008-01-25T16:57:00.000+08:00I agree. There were other problems in those days too, so life ain't perfect.

In fact many of us think of our kids being more fortunate than we were, right?Moomykinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02645551241688174119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8868408811034508455.post-9425600746020565082008-01-25T09:22:00.000+08:002008-01-25T09:22:00.000+08:00SOOO TRUE !!!The good ol' times seem to be sliping...SOOO TRUE !!!

The good ol' times seem to be sliping us by!

BUT

the new geneartion calls for inventions of a different kind and games with a different angle. And new illnesses call for new diet measures...

Life is all about changes and the first person that has to embrace the change are all parents so that the old will never inhibit the new! but the old will protect and guide the new towards the middle path, not extreme old, nor extreme new!

make sense??Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08918067380739615712noreply@blogger.com
