There was this other boy who had his birthday celebrated in school today, the last day of school.
The Momma of the boy is super zealous and decided that it would be a dress-up/costume party. But she only informed us on Wednesday, the day before Micah's party.
So I decided to do first things first.
Only yesterday, after Micah's party, I set to work on the boys' costume.
Earlier the boys had said to me that they wanted to be knights in shining armors (Thanks to Mickey Mouse Club House and Sir Goofsalot).
And of course I could only do anything properly, i.e. with no interruptions, after the boys are asleep.
So work began at 12am.
And I only finished at 3.30am.
The boys were happily surprised by what "magic" Mommy performed while they were asleep. But Micah got it right when he said, "It's a lot of work, isn't it, Mom?"
It sure was, but I also enjoyed it...somewhat therapeutic to me.
Now I'm dozing off while waiting for the photos to load...
Zzzz...

Thumbs up.... you r really a supermum.... but when u saw the happy face on the boys... sleepless night doesn't mean anything... right?
Hi Mommy, you are innovative and hidden talents.
That shield and sword is beautiful! Outstanding!
Can cook, can look after kids, can blog, look after hubby....wives like you don't grown on trees, ha ha. Lee.
Linda,
I am not really a super mom as I don't really get involved in the main cooking. Mil does that for the whole family.
I am just good at making stuff, using my hands. :)
Sleepless nights were worth it, but there's also price to pay: A very groggy mommy in the day, and the brain can get "hanged" in the middle of conversations, i.e. lose train of thought in the middle of saying something. Hahaha... So I am thankful I am not a working mom.
Uncle Lee,
Thank you. Thank you. :)
Me not so much into cooking. In fact, cooked more while at my mom's house as she was working freelance and I sometimes stepped in to cook dinner for my siblings. Now, I am blessed with a MiL who loves to cook and make delicious breakfast and dinner for everyone at home.
WOW....thank God you are creative and love to be!
All comments above have summed it up!
You're a great mom!
Also, Micah sounds like he's gonna be a great, sensitive and thoughtful young man!
Wow! U did all that in one night! GENG!!!!!
It's so amazingly beautiful!~
you did a really good job. i would have cheated and gone out and bought a costume :0
Ann,
Thanks.
:)
I find doing things with my hands very therapeutic for me.

Jlow,
Thank you.
Yes, Micah can be very sweet and sensitive, but most of the time his preoccupation is with play!
Little Prince's mummy,
Thanks.
:)

Tina,
The boys did want to buy a sword initially from a toy store, but there were no shields, and Micah suggested using a cardboard. So I thought, I might as well, just make a matching set.
:)
