Rainy Days

So the raining season is here... again.

The boys, especially Micah, had wanted to go to the park. But it actually rained the whole day today. Mainly drizzle, but that was enough to keep us all in doors.

It was actually very disappointing for the boys, because a couple of times they mentioned they wanted to go out, and Mommy, looked our of the window and said, "Yes, lets", only to stop at the door because the porch told of non-stop of a drizzle.

So we spend the whole evening playing with cars, building blocks, trains and more building blocks.

I was actually stalling for time with Micah. Again he skipped his nap, so I kept his distracted until about 8pm. Good time for him to hit the hay.

I also had to turn off the air-conditioner earlier as it's a little chilly and I could hear Max, while sleeping, having a bit of a stuffed nose.

(Arrgh. Having problems uploading my photos. Waste of time... will update on that later.)

Max has been crazy about the movie Cars (Disney-Pixar) for the longest time.

So my boys, Max especially, are starting young with their fascination with sports cars and race cars.

He also wants to looks at other race cars like F1 and shows like "Driven" captures his attention too.

You can imagine our excitement when we spotted a Porsche in front of Nikko Hotel,
Micah was yelling, "Max! Max, a pink Sally*!"



And I wonder what he got out of this book at his Aunt's working table. :)

Mix and Match PJ

Oh, they are just so cute I had to take a snap of it.




I had once attempted getting them to pose for me, but Max got a bit upset that their PJs seemed a little confused.

This is what happens when your boys are quite close in age and you have a set of PJ that has very long pants but shrunken shirt!

Fear Factor: Gadgat-Daddy

We have always seen this Bike on a tightrope at the science center (at the water-park area),
but have never even thought of attempting to ride it. The bike is probably 10 feet from the ground... actually from the surface of the pond.


Last weekend when we visited with Gadget-daddy, he decided to take the plunge (which seemed impending if you were to lose your balance.)

Just sitting on it at first was "scary", said, Gadget-daddy. He sat for maybe 3 seconds on the stationery bike gathering up his nerves before peddling forward.

After the first round, he was a bit more confident and did it three times in total. Of course the boys were excited and wanted their daddy to give them a ride. "No," was the resounding chorus from both very excited parents.



Congratulations, Gadget-daddy.
You did it! You overcame your fear!

Park-a Party

Gadget-daddy left today so we were left with our own devices (today was Grandma's actually) to entertain the boys.

We visited a new park today.
Well, it's not exactly new, but it's one of those we have to get into the car, drive off somewhere and then spend some time looking for a parking.

Taman Tun Razak, Cheras.

The Kid's playground was super, with all kinds of obstacle course, suspension bridges and slides. (Sorry, no shots of those coz Mommy had to trail the boys all over and at a point carry Max down some ladders.)

Then there was a path well shaded by cotton trees and saga seeds. Needless to say, We took some time off from walking to hunting for saga seeds.


Then we came to a wonderful surprise: Fountains!!




There was even a paddle pool area. The boys wanted to jump in, but we said the water was too dirty, with everyone washing their feet in it. It's sure to give you some itchy rash!



By the time we got home it was about 8pm.
The boys had dinner then Ah Ma, Ee-Ee and my bro came to visit.

What a happy evening...
Although we all missed Gadget-daddy.

"Water-Painting" Fun

I found these at Silverfish Books.We had one round at home, then the boys and I brought some to our neighbour's house and had fun with our friends.



They are magic painting book. Actually all you needed to do is to paint water over the picture and you'll be surprised!!
The colours magically appear!

It's actually quite cheap, just below RM5 per book (maybe 16 pictures or more - guessing. Sorry, I didn't count).
I was thinking: it's an activity you can do for your kid's party even! Isn't that cool!
Or you could give them away as gifts for no reason at all! Fantastic!!

I actually bought a couple of extra copies to keep. May come in handy any time. :)

Max is OK

This was Max two days after the fall (the spot above his right eye was from the papaya sap):

It's amazing how kids heal so fast!
Oh, to rejuvenate at such speed again!

I'm Still Here

Hi. Sorry for not posting anything for this month so far.

At the start of the week I encountered an emotional earthquake that left me rather "unable-to-function" beyond the demands of the boys. I had 2 sleepless nights of which I felt like an injured snail and want only to hide in my shell from the rest of the world.

Also, along with this temporary "crippling", we were still waking up early for school (and the boys seems like they are waking up earlier each time). Then while Max takes his nap in the day, Micah will refuse to nap and have to be monitored so that he does something more "creative" as oppose to destructive.

So not enough sleep in the night, no time to nap in the day, trying to keep my sanity and volume down... It's been a rather exhausting week. I don't know how working moms do it, keeping it together...

But I'm still here.
Will update on what we have been up to...along with some other news.
