Today was the last day of school for Micah.
It's also the last day for the playgroup and we had a Christmas party in advance as a closing for the year.
There was singing, a performance by Micah and his classmates (sorry, Gadget-daddy still working on the video and will post that up soon), games and presents for everyone.
Time sure flies.
It did not seem so long ago that we were coaxing and pacifying Micah every morning on the way to school. And the best part was when we pick him up after school, he'd be so happy and say,
"I had a great time, mom!"
Of course now that it's the holidays, he's looking forward to going to the Science Center and to Ah-MA's house instead of school.
Now it's the holidays. All our weekends look busy, but I will have to figure out how to fill the rest of days in the week.
Think it's time I need to go back to the stationery shop and get some fresh supply of paints and drawing blocks.
Maybe we should, I mean, I should consider baking cookies with them.
Hmmm... sure will get some noise from Grandma for making her kitchen a mess....
Ah, maybe try baking at Ah-Ma's house. She's got a bigger oven and Ee-Ee's baking utensils are all there. Hmmm...
It would be nice if some of us could get a day out with our kids and maybe go to the butterfly farm, or bird park, or a swimming-picnic by the pool...
Any one want to have a play-date with us?

Haha! Thursday will be Caitlin's last day; Friday apparently is a party day where the kids turn up in their party dresses (I didnt bother what boys would wear)...
So, soon we too will have the "headache" of what-to-do to keep her busy!
Sara enjoyed herself at the party. She tried following the actions to the songs until of course she saw the display of bananas on the table :)
If you are having a weekend play-date...I would love to bring sara.
Happy Baking! I'm sure the kids would enjoy helping you out :)
I'd love to have a playdate with you. There's just the minor matter of distance and airfares ;)
I'm finding it hard to come up with ways of entertaining miss A myself at the moment, given we have been housebound with the sick miss E all week.
Luckily for us, our 2 days per week of preschool don't finish up until Dec 20 (daycare based) or I would go crazy!
U're staying at BU? Ooh... I used to live there too!
Don't get drawing blocks. Get Mah-Jong Paper. So much bigger (and cheaper too!). Tape the paper to the floor..and have a merry time! ;)

Ooohhh.....can I leave Christopher to play with you? :)
Weekdays will be hard, but you can throw me in for a lunch if you nearby my office!
I don't have holiday(s) to lok forward to! I wish I could be in your place now.
jlow,
Yes, yes, party dresses is always a thrill for the girls... and boys just at best put on a bow-tie. Even that they'll throw it off sooner than you think cos it'll be choking them ...
Let's see if we can do a anything with a few other S@HM and see if you can get Caitlin out with us. :)
mummy-yeoh,
So glad you managed to have a good time. it's less crazy not so crowded on our regular group meets. This was just the year-end party and there are usually extra people.
Try another visit next year?

wonderful life,
Yes, I think we should try that... But I just wonder if the boys can stand to wait for the actual baking part...
hissychick,
Yes, we'd love to have a play date with you and your 2 darlings too... Don't you just wish at most times that teleportation is a real thing and not just in Sci-fi.
Yes, quite a good thing you've still got her at preschool til December.
Hope little E is better.
mott,
We actually stay across the other side of the city. Takes us about 30 minutes to get there by the highway.
It's just that my hubby and the cuddle family are old friends and we wanted to go see them and give some support.
ann,
yes... now that I don't have to worry about school schedules, maybe we should meet for lunch. :)
Guess we'll have to play with Christopher another day though...
