Poo = Puke

I just helped Max on to the potty and I almost puke.
Yes, this is one of the other signs of my pregnancies. Hyper sensitive nose that makes a lot of smell = stench which is beyond me.

When I was pregnant with Micah I puked only twice, which was really good. One was because of some oily noodle breakfast which I couldn't stomach, so threw them all up after breakfast. The second time...? Now I can't remember.

When I was pregnant with Max I puked so much that I lost count. It was not so much the morning sickness, but the external factors of a toddler around. Micah's porridge, especially fish, and his poo were the main triggers of my puking.

There was one time we went down with Mike to Singapore and stayed in the hotel. Usually Micah will do his business early morning and Daddy will have him cleaned up before he goes off to work. There was one morning when it happened after daddy had left. I wretched. It was before breakfast, so it was all green slime, gastric juice, that came out. That was probably the worst vomiting experience I ever had.

Now I will have to hold my breath when washing Max after a potty session and may have to get another adult to help wash the potty. Micah is only too keen to do that, but I'm not letting him do it. I'm not risking having to wash 2 poo-smelling boys and the whole bathroom too. I may have to wash my own puke in the midst of the mess too.

You poor thing. I hate the potty at the best of times so I can imagine what it would be like with an ultrasensitive pregnancy nose and stomach.

Take care

hissychick,
ann,
jlow,

Thank you for sharing with my struggle in my condition...

If I hold my nose I can take it. The complication comes when the boys still want to wrestle to take a gaze at the potty before I get it flushed, so, I just can't hold my breath that long, and scolding them at the same time to break it off.

Right now my mum-in-law steps in whenever I ask her to, or if she hears me dry-retch.

Thank God for helpful grandparents.

Thanks, ann, for the suggestions. maybe use a surgical mask. :)

pepperboy,

Thanks. :D

like I mentioned to my friends, have been hoping for a girl since the first one, but both boys have been fun and a real blessing.

Wow, you're up late...
Take care.

When I was pregnant, I puke 3 times a day. I lost weight on my first trimester. I could not stand the smell of my sister's shampoo

mummy-yeoh,

Wow, your's sounded tough. So far I have not actually vomited yet. Just almost, with the retching sound and gagging, but nothing's come out.

simon,

I take it that those are kinda long-ago memories. :)
