Some Things Defined

With Gadget-daddy away I slept pretty early considerably early (12am) and woke up 6.30am. Puttered around a little and cleared a few more things from the trip.

I guess if I was alone with the 2 boys, my life would pretty much revolve just around them.

No late night movies on the computer.

No one to talk about my day with - the funny, the angry, the mundane.

No one to cook supper for.

No pouring out soft drinks and taking a sip from.

No one to watch scary or heart-stopping movies with and have a hand to hold.

Definitely no Blog, no Mac, no...gadgets.

My life would be just lots of tea and books and chatter with friends on the phone.

..... (The list goes on)

The boys and I are missing you...for this whole week, Daddy-O.

But you DO have these gadgets, and you CAN at least still stay in touch with Gadget Daddy, get on the blogshpere and stay connected with your friends too, can't you?

jlow,

Yes, my friend. Thank God for modern technology....but nothing like the personal touch.

I feel this way too when hubs is away and then I think of all the single mums and how hard life is and how brave and strong they must be.

mumsgather,

I know what you mean. I really salute all the single mums and also those poor women whose husbands are not supportive at all.

Just gotta thank God for our good husbands, ya?

I feel for you...it is hard indeed being at home alone...harder still being alone away from home...

Hope Gadget-daddy is also doing ok.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder....maybe that is what makes your love for each other grow so strong....it is knowing how hard it is being alone that makes us appreciate when we are not...

ann,

Thank you.

It is difficult both ways but we cope mostly by keeping ourselves busy.

The hardest is when you wind down at the end of the day and your other half is not there to make your day complete.
